Healthy Alaskans Goal #19
Session 109 at the 2018 Alaska Pubic Health Association Health Summit
Healthy Alaskans 2020 Goal 19 is to increase the proportion of rural Alaskans with access to in-home water and sanitation services. This session will report on progress towards this HA2020 goal. We will also report on efforts by the State of Alaska to develop new technologies to improve service in homes not connected to municipal water service. We will hear from the US Arctic Research Commission regarding their efforts to coordinate research and policy activities to promote water and sewer. Also, ANTHC presenter will share activities related to the Alaska-base National Tribal Water Center to support communities to maintain and operate water systems.
